Where is Chuck?!?!?

It may be time to call Chuck.

Last night I was remembering the old movie “Invasion USA” starring Chuck Norris and I thought I would blog a little today about what I remember from the movie and why I think it is pertinent to this holiday (after all, Invasion USA is a GREAT Christmas movie like the Die Hard films!)

The movie, if you do not recall involves Chuck fighting against a force of Soviet/Cuban led guerillas.

It involves the star fighting off a force of Soviet/Cuban-led guerrillas.

Being that the movie was about Cuban terrorists, the movie was filmed in Miami but if we see a real sequel to this movie in real life I imagine we would have the film crews somewhere between Eagle Pass and Tuscon…

Back to the film, a group of Cuban refugees is on a boat sailing for the United States and is at first met by what appears to be a US Coast Guard boat with armed personnel. The captain of the vessel declares that the refugees are welcomed to the United State but the Guardsmen open fire on. It is revealed that the armed personnel were Latin American guerillas disguised as Guardsmen on board a hijacked Coast Guard vessel.

Eventually, the real Coast Guard finds the boat with the murdered American Coast Guardsmen off the coast of Florida. The FBI and the Miami Dade Police Department arrive at the docks to investigate the murders. The guerrillas land in Florida and exchange the drugs for weaponry from a drug dealer.

Former CIA agent Matt Hunter (Norris) is asked to come out of retirement, but he declines but after a few smaller terrorist attacks he changes his mind.

Later that day, hundreds of additional guerrillas land on the beaches of South Florida and move inland using several pre-positioned trucks. The guerrillas begin their assault by destroying suburban homes. Another group of guerrillas impersonating Miami police officers attacks a community center full of Cuban expatriates in Miami. When a squad car with genuine Miami policemen drives by to investigate the gunfire, the survivors angrily start vandalizing their car and leave the police perplexed. The FBI has no idea who is behind the attacks, but Hunter and the CIA believe that Rostov is behind the attacks. As terrorist acts continue in Miami, race riots and general chaos develop within the city, just as the terrorists planned.

Accurate to real-life, our reactionary government now forms a task force to combat what has already become a war on America soil. At the command center, all 50 state governors and military officials meet to stop the terror attacks.

So of course, Chuck does Chuck and we eventually win. Not sure that is how it will play out the next time when the cameras are not rolling and it happens in real life…

Norris said he got the idea to make the film after reading an article in Reader's Digest that said hundreds of terrorists were running loose in the United States. "I thought, 'Boy, that's scary,' " he said. " 'What if some guy on the order of a Khomeini or a Khadafi mobilized those guys and started sending them out to every major city?'... I know it's going to happen, and even in the movie, the head terrorist says, 'It's so easy because of the freedom of movement in this country.' So we're really accessible to this. The movie is not meant to scare people, but to make us aware of a potential problem."

That was Chuck’s opinion back in 1985!

"We're trying to make a statement here", he added about the film. "This is about the people of the United States."

As of last Friday, CBP is warning its agents to 'exercise extreme caution' after the Mexican military seized 10 IEDs at the border. The IEDs were found by Mexican authorities after Tucson border patrol observed gunshots at the U.S.-Mexico border and a Tucson supervisory border patrol agent arrested an armed person on the U.S. side who had a loaded AK-47 rifle, two loaded AK magazines, loose rounds and a handgun.

CBP is warning its agents to "exercise extreme caution and should report any possible armed subjects approaching the border with possible explosive devices.

Chuck’s mid-80’s movie came at a time when I was not afraid for the future so I do not remember feeling anxious about the safety of our country. Today is a different story.

With thousands now pouring over the border daily like nothing we have ever seen before, this this should push you to the brink of screaming! Mr. Mayorkis recently admitted that we have seen (or rather, not seen) over 600,000 “got-a-ways” enter the United States with no personal encounter with border agents.

We have cut budgets, overwhelmed our border agents, sent troops with no legal authority to do their jobs and have eaten up billions on creating camps and shelters.

Now it is becoming common at the border to find weapons and incendiary devices on fighting age males coming across our border. Lukeville, Arizona, where the border crossing has been overrun by an influx of mostly adult male migrants including Syrian Nationals is relying on local law enforcement to stop the flow; an impossible task as the Tuscon Sector saw over 17,000 come across last week alone.

It is not just the threat of the middleastern migrants coincidentally flooding our borders while Hamas threatens attacks on United States soil but it is the lack of attention being paid to the thousands of military-age Chinese Nationals heading toward our border at present, a videotape released last week but ignored by mainstream media.

Our House Homeland Security Committee has said that it is "very likely" that "military personnel" were being inserted into the United States by China via crossing the southern land border.

Announcing an investigation into the Secretary of Homeland Security, Alejandro Mayorkas, over his role in the border crisis, Mark Green, a former U.S. Army serviceman and representative for Tennessee, claimed many of the Chinese nationals entering America were "military-age men," many of them having "known ties" to the ruling Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and People's Liberation Army (PLA).

And as all of these “got-a-ways” slide into the country I remember the scene of hundreds of soldiers climbing out of the water and climbing up into rental trucks that were waiting for them so they could disperse to their targets in our movie.

Where is Chuck? Has anyone called him? Is he aware that shortly after the attacks in Israel U.S. Customs and Border Protection officials in San Diego warned that militants associated with the Hamas-Israel war would be encountered at our southern border?

The warning stated: "Individuals inspired by, or reacting to, the current Israel-Hamas conflict may attempt travel to or from the area of hostilities in the Middle east via circuitous transit across the Southwest border…”

The intel document showed various insignias worn by Hamas, the Lebanese militant group Hezbollah and the Palestinian Islamic Jihad group. It informed CBP personnel to be vigilant for military-age men wearing military gear and traveling alone at the border.

Don’t let the slight of hand with the Hunter indictment draw you away from other news or you will miss that our law enforcement officials across the United States are warning that unabated anger and tensions over the ongoing conflict between Israel and Hamas could spill over into the holiday season in the United States, potentially putting large public gatherings at risk, according to law enforcement and homeland security officials.

The FBI and the Department of Homeland Security last week issued a public service announcement, warning of a heightened threat to holiday or faith-based events and New Year's Eve celebrations in the coming weeks.

The announcement further warned of potential dangers to protests, rallies and other First Amendment-protected events.

Just last week, DHS issued a new guide to help faith-based organizations, including churches, synagogues and mosques, take steps to better secure their facilities and their congregations.

This type of intelligence coupled with the statistics at the border are signs that our life could change very soon. Maybe as early as next week.

“I see blinking lights everywhere I turn," FBI Director Christopher Wray told members of the Senate Judiciary Committee when asked about the threat level in the U.S. during an appearance last Tuesday.

"I've never seen a time where all the threats, or so many of the threats, are all elevated, all at exactly the same time,” he said.

Merry Christmas and God Bless America
